Quite tenacious release that's worth the press it got. These guys are kicking ass on this release! Totally technical and noteworthy. I liked this album the whole way through. The vocals go well with the music. These guys remind me a little of Cryptopsy's 'Whisper Supremacy' (1998) because of the utmost intensity. Cryptopsy is extreme death metal though this band is more of a technical death metal act like Archspire. The music on here is immaculate! Every song is filled with great riffs and vocals. The production quality and mixing are top notch. I can't believe this release was in 2010! I haven't heard their most recent release but for now this gets the press!
A lot of this album contains tremolo picking galore and whizzing through the fretboard on the guitars. It doesn't seem to let up at all. Some tapping portions and just flying madness on the guitars. There's really not a lot of letting up!
I'm glad that listeners can hear the whole album and have positive feedback. Decrepit Birth definitely needed the listeners to hear their absolutely great technical death metal. They really know what they're doing and the leads are wicked!
The death metal portion of this album is finessed with the deep vocals though the guitars work well with everything! The leads are just all over the place. And the production made this a great boon to the technical death metal community. The drums are full of blasting and a lot of double bass drum. They fit well and I think the guitars are the most dynamic feature to the album. Totally wicked frenzy and the vocals don't fluctuate they keep the album sound to the most brutal it can be. This release is simply insurmountable. I don't thing anything tops this in their entire discography! They own it on here!
