A melodic wonder; what a great melodic death/doom metal release! It caught me captivated. The tempos for each track are slow. Hence, the doom metal label, the melodic sounds include the keys, guitars, yet the deep throat gives it that "doom" kind of sound. I had to order this immediately!
The atmospheric sound mixed with the heavy guitar gives the album a sense of depressing sounds and melodic overtures. I like how they put everything together on here and the overall musicianship. The deep vocals keep it undergrounds and the fact that they never let up on the melodies. It's there throughout this release. Harmonies, melodies, brutal vocals, beautiful keys, solid production, and ever so changing sounds. All in the vein of melodic death/doom.
These guys can go on for quite a while though I'm unsure of their debut album 'Echoes from Deep November' (2020), I haven't heard it to compare this one to that. That's not too bad 3 years for a follow-up. Their future is bright. The guitars and keys are my favorite elements to this release. The vocals come the last, even though they're fitting to the music's style.
There's only 6 songs on here but it's roughly an hour in length. The songs are long with heavy though crying-like music. It's one big depressive episode and it reaches up there everlasting. I think that the keys and the guitars are again the most prevalent on here.
It seems as though the keys mix well with the rest of the music. A kind of atmospheric sense of self that is ever influx with pure drama. The guitars sound like they're tuned down to maybe "B" with utmost crunch thickness. They seem to be in a realm of their own.
As the top 20 of 2023, these guys are up there with some of the best ratings on there. Simply flawless music!
