Perverse porn death metal time! So all you under aged, please stop reading now. You do not understand these things yet. Hopefully...

'Necrobscenity' is Devoured's, who have operated since April 1999, second release. The band's death/grind is nothing original, but there's power in performance and the demo's very live sound, which kicks ass!. Devoured list Slayer, Vader, Cannibal Corpse and Bolt Thrower as their influences, but this band do not sound directly like any of their mentors. Musically, there are twisted riffs as well as straighter riffing. There's no guitar solo in any of the songs. In every song, pace varies from blast beats to mid-paced chugging (no, not of boring ilk). Of course this all is generally based on the rhythms. Playing is tight, but of course sound could be tighter. Every instrument is well heard, except the lead guitar which gets a bit buried at times. The songs could bite more, so to speak, 'She, the Vampire' is one that really catches my ears, but generally there's not too much things to cling to.

The first four songs are about sex and fucking, basically. Pedophiliac wife-beater on 'Orgasm in Blood', normal joys of sex on 'Take Her from Behind', vampirerotica on 'She, the Vampire' and backdoor-banging on 'Barbarian Sodomy'. The lyrics are funny, except 'Orgasm in Blood', which is sadly reality for some people. The funniness is also due to guys' English, e.g. "there's an internal bubble in it (dick), I gonna explode inside you"!!! Oh boy, these guys are funny! 'Maniac' is a graphic story about slaughtering maniac. Actually, all the lyrics are very graphic, or how about conclusion of 'Barbarian Sodomy': "I come in your ass"?! No more words needed. Voice growls the words in different pitches and in rhythmic patterns. Good thing about the voice is that it does not annoy me a bit. Probably Rotten.com was visited for cover art.

All in all this a good, but only on a demo level. I guess there could be more originality and meat hooks flying towards a listener. I liked the songs more before I read the lyrics, but I must admit they are fucking hilarious at times. So, all you porn death metal freaks, you should check out Devoured (samples on their website).
