Spanish horror deathgrinders Machetazo are here to fillet you. 'Garrote Vil' originally appeared on 2nd Machetazo studio album 'Trono De Huesos' (2002). The song on this relesae is re-recorded as a three-piece and cool Spanish horror movie intro has been added. Blastbeating rusty (but with clearer sound as the original version) straightforward grind with a Carcass part close to the end. 'Potro De Tortura' is a faster one in vein of Repulsion and Terrorizer. The song first appeared on a split with Japanese Corrupted, by the way, in 2000. Vocals are totally in-yer-face.
Cianide are brutal old school death metal band from Chicago's underworld. The band might be over 16 years old so they certainly know their stuff and do not lack of energy. New song 'Black Earth' is all about great riffs, headbang beats (what a lovely use of double kick drum on first mid-paced section that is!!!) and rotten atmosphere. The song is heavy and raw as fuck, as flesh shredding oxidized guitars, tortured growls coming from a crypt and pounding drums and bass mutilate eardrums. The song quickens for a while and insane guitar soloing emerges. 'Black Earth' ain't unique, its influenced by late 1980s - early 1990s monstrous death metal. I fucking love this song!!! Gotta check out Cianide discography now.
Packaged beautifully in cicular cut pocket including a circular cut insert, this is another collector's item. Got this because of Machetazo, but Cianide was more than just a nice surprise!
