The second demo from Finnish one-man band Into My Houses continues in similar way than its predecessor; three guesting vocalists, lame drum machine and homespun feel. But don't let that production job avert you from checking out this band, because IMH perform very distinctive kind of music.
I only can call this as dark metal, but that could mean quite a lot, eh? There's anything from thrashy material to epic bits of 'The Beauty of Life'. This second part is more aggressive than the first one, nicely supplementing it that way. Generally, the feeling is... Mental. The music portrays Finnish madness, making IMH sound like kind of a metal version of Finnish wacky weirdos YUP (if you can imagine a Finnish version of System Of A Down, or something like that). You really don't know what to expect after a certain part of a song. Despite the machine-sounding drum tracks, the drive is awesome at times. Heck, if only this was recorded with actual instruments... Again, four different vocalists work well together, portraying various moods. The performances aren't professional, but on the contrary, full of passion.
Into My Houses are not a safe-sounding band. They definitely don't go by any usual metal composition formula, nor by any strict genre definition. Feel the passion, soon you forget how it was recorded. I guarantee you that.
