Train Of Thought belts out a few different styles here... Hardcore, metal and rock. These 4 beer drinking buddies are from North Kingstown, Rhode Island. To me, they sound a lot like Burned In Effigy. This release was recorded at the Studio Static Productions by Engineer/Producer Peter LaGrasse. The production here is decent but not the greatest.

The band consists of Eric Burlingham on lead vocals/guitar, Jake Perry on lead guitar/vocals, Ed Bilodeau on drums and Dennis Stimpert on bass/vocals. As far as the voices go they're mostly screaming, yelling with some clean as well. A good blend of variety on their part!

I for the most part like their chainsaw rhythm guitars. The leads here aren't that well concocted but Jake shows promise on his outputs. Tempos are not really fast just more grove stricken. Seems like they have a heavy blues influence to their writing style. That's not a bad thing though don't get me wrong just not heavy enough for me.

You can visit their MySpace page and check out the track 'Addicted' for starters. That song is pretty bad ass. Anyway, this 12 song debut shows some promise. The band is already working on new material which should be out sometime in 2009.
