After releasing one of the worst demos I have ever had the (dis)pleasure of hearing, Comatose Cadaver released an infinitely better demo a year later. The music on this demo has almost zero similarities with the previous one and feels like it has been recorded by a completely different band. The death growls are actual growls, unlike the ones in 'Vaginal Injection' (2004). Deep, sick, guttural and just plain nasty. The production is better and as a result the drums can be heard as well, and the bass doesn't feel lost either.
There are two songs here (the third one is an outro with a bunch of screaming and strange chanting), and both have a cool Bolt Thrower vibe to them. You know the deal, slow and sick sections which go into frantic and crushing sections. There are no guitar solos here, however, which is a real pity because the overall music would have been greatly helped by the addition of guitar solos. The songs drag on for too long and if it weren't for the vocals, I would have guessed that the songs were just put on loop. The drum programming is very versatile and there are some interesting fills here which help in keeping the flow of the music good. The bass, however, just seems to follow the pattern over and over again (except in the title track, which has a cool bass solo thing near the end). The riffs however, are in abundance (in the fast sections at least.) Take for example, the title track. The riff in the slow sections is the same, but all the fast sections have different (but similar) riffs.
The music isn't bad, but it's just too monotonous and after hearing the demo once or twice, you won't feel the need to hear it again.
