Thrash metal is not dead! Keller might bear boring name, but their debut demo 'Awake the Forgotten' is the shit. Four slices of old school worship is what this is all about.

'Awake the Forgotten' is a deep bow towards German thrash metal from these Slovenian fellas. 'Sentenced to Death' brings up heavy Sodom vibes. 'Summon the Mortal' is melodic in the vein of Assassin, and also features true old Kreator style riffage. 'Death Command' sounds like Sodom again, and Destruction influence can also be heard. 'Holy Slaughter' is insane like old Kreator is. The pace is very varying throughout the demo and the songs. The vocals are in pretty similar to Assassin, which means angry barked voice, but also screams and shouts are in. In addition, the sound is awesome; very warm and full indeed.

If you like those legendary bands mentioned ealier, which are all active even today, then hunt down this demo. It is worth your time. Keller's debut album is in the works already, so expect it through NHR Records in, hopefully, imminent the future. Horns up!!!
