Sound on this album sucks! No lower end can be found and, as it is, the whole sound is very weak indeed. It's cheaply made, so can anything save it?
Well, frankly, no. Synths sound cheap and sometimes they are on the top of everything. Some lame wind and church bell effects are used too. And let's not forget this: there's a bloody bad drum machine! This is a perfect example of a record that is ruined by totally awkward production. The music is quite original darkish pagan metal and some guitar sounds are okay, at least when compared to those machines. Vocals are mostly growled (with quite sick voice) and some are spoken. But just like the synths, the vocals are on top.
As you can see, this is a long album. But only 6 out of 13 songs are longer (all about 10 minutes each), "real", while those 7 are acoustic interludes sounding middle ageish. The songs aren't well-composed, but the worst thing is the track number 8: Unbelievably lame rendition of Iron Butterfly's 'In A Gadda Da Vida'! A few better parts do not help much between the crap.
This is Rhymes Of Destructions's debut album, and they have already released a second one, but I haven't heard it. But as said before: I can't listen to this because of the shit production, no matter if some tunes sound at least distantly interesting. And shit production is mildly said. This has the worst ever sound, that has reached my ears. It is nice, that metal underground still lives (and will live), but I still want something for my hard-earned money.
