Neuronia hail from Warsaw, Poland and this is their sophomore full length album. They formed in late 2003, recorded three demos during 2006-2007, and their debut album 'The Winter of My Heart' was released in early 2008. This album is my first contact with Neuronia.

The band's music is a mixture of thrash metal and hardcore punk, with heavy metal as the basis. The song structures meander from fast thrash attacks to groovy rocking, and to darker metal. Sadly, the band have managed to come up with ugly riffs, which play a lot bigger role than catchy and good ones. The vocals are even worse; HC shout sand growls are not angry at all. Clean vocals are interesting, reminding me of Without Face (on song 'November Skies'). In all, the music feels disorganized, even though kind of unique. Add to this the production job that is flat and powerless. The digipak packaging is professionally made.

Neuronia sound pretty unique. This, however, works against them, since I find the vocals, no matter how varying they are, annoying as well as most of the riffs.
