If one-liners would do, then: Clock Paradox sound like the heavy and extreme parts of Depth Beyond One's. Well, CP's vocalist /guitarist Antti Karhu signs and drummer Jani Kuorikoski drums in DBO too.

Clock Paradox are almost as warped and also very earthy, organic, as Depth Beyond One's. Clock Paradox take death and thrash metal and mix progressive music into it. It can be very groovy, very rhythmic, even very folkish at times. It does creep on or blast its way through the speakers. It is kind of modern, but still so ancient. The instrumental 'Awareness of Transiency' begins with eerie Opeth vibe (when they were eerie, back in the day), launching into Crowbar-ish wall of sound. 'The Knife' is the most death/thrash oriented song. 'Terminal Farewell' is, with all its rhythmic gimmicks, the catchiest one, thanks to the clean singing at some parts, and it also has a slight Diablo aura over it. 'Moment of Reveal' was titled as 'Gojira' when it was in the works, and that's it; sludgy heaviness. 'Convictions' starts with that Opeth vibe mentioned earlier, but soon gets heavier à la Stam1na. Hell, the band comparisons aren't 100% accurate, but at least you'll get a better picture, and if you got aforementioned bands and styles or similar in your record collection, this should not be an obstacle for you.

The sound is raw and sludgy, which makes the metal feel kind of corroded. Every instrument is audible, but it is still too muddy. The guitar tones used are numerous, as are the vocal styles; from calmer clean singing to Diablo style racket, to shouting, and to deeper growlings. This guy will be noticed some day for his clean voice, believe me. The out-of-norm lyrics must be mentioned too. Good stuff, simply good stuff. And it feels like guys wanna play this, too, and do it with vigour.

Clock Paradox aren't behind any genre fences, but do rounds in many a style. At last they have songs to cling onto, so if you can take the jumping from one style to another, then check out Clock Paradox. So we've come to the final question: The guys aren't afraid to mix different things, but do you have balls to try a mixture so diffrent or are you just a genre whore? They got a fine name, methinks!
